Endoscopy..............

:crap: Well, I finally went to the gastronologist and this friday, tomorrow, he's doing a endoscopy to see if my Barretts esophogus has turned pre-cancerous. It's been awhile since my last one, that's my fault, due to no health insurance.
Cross your fingers and say a prayer all comes out well. At least I'll have a nice sleep for about a 1/2 hour. (going under).

Try to keep all updated.

remember to tell 'em to use plenty of the knock-out drops because you don't wanna be waking up with that thing down yer throat.

Isn't that a camera down the throat instead of up the poopy hole? Should it not then be called a throat-o-scope instead of an endoscope?

AFAIK, the endo preffix means something that's inside. So it would be correct to use endoscope since you are "seeing inside".

Good luck Mare :)

True... yes... but thats not the joke for us English types.

The use of 'rear-end' is one of the most common forms of slang for the gluteus maximus, aka, buttocks.

Therefore: rear-end ties into endoscope as a scope for the rear-end.

Opps sorry , yes, it was an upper endoscopy. All is ok, they changed some meds, there is alot of inflamation in there. Hopefully new meds will make me feel better soon.
Thanks for the prayers and thoughts.

Oh and it was a nice sleep too, didnt feel a thing.

Well, hurtburn still there, they have been trying all different meds, not working, still have the pain in my side. Went to the OBGYN also, had and ultrasound done. The found a 3 centimeter mass on my right ovary, yes you heard me 3 centimeters, thats bigger than the ovary. So, when they do my hysteretomy (spelling?) they re going to check that out to, also fix a dropped bladder at the same time. I hate surgeries, and its a overnite stay, maybe i can bring my laptop now, hehehehehe. Update more when i know.

Mare, are you still with the postal service?

No, havent been for awhile. I know why ppl go postal now. They work you like a friggin dog. Sure the pay and bennies were good, but you really are takenfor granted in alot of things. It works out better this way, being unemployed right now works for me having all the surgeries done.

Don't tell some of our members that you are unemployed AND having medical necessities taken care of. Their head will explode.
