Favorite freeware?

I was wondering what your favorite freeware programs are. I don't mean programs that you may have gotten "free" off of kazaa. I mean FREEWARE. Completely free software, legally.

If you want to list shareware, that's fine too.

Graphics converters? Awesome! I never heard of them before.

They can do GIF, right?

Between the two they can do any filetype imaginable.I've seen you refer to Linux a few times ,got GIMP ? It'll do image manipulation ,where as the other two I mentioned are only viewers/converters.

These are the ones I'm using at the moment but I have 6 rewriteable CDs worth of free progs - not including Mandrake - organised into Developer - software, web, audio and video - Utilities, Updates & Patches and Games. If I stumble acrossa piece of freeware which looks like it may be useful at some point I download and save it for later after I've checked it out.
