What would you say are your 3 favorite movies? Not in any particular order (and surely if I took more time to think about it my list would change):

The Princess Bride
The Lost Boys
Dogma

A couple of the ones on my stinker list:

Wendigo
The Offseason

Don't you /hate/ when something sounds great based on the packaging blurb but watching it actually causes you physical pain? :hmm:

very narrowed down favorites list:
Heat
Ronin
Saving Private Ryan

least favorite:
Hollywood Homicide
Narc
Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy

SouthernN'Proud

Southern Discomfort
Easy Rider
Se7en
Shawshank Redemption
Heavy Metal
Blazing Saddles
Saw
Amazon Women On The Moon
Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Least...hell I dunno, if I didn't like it I forgot about it instantly. Hate space movies as a rule, not much on the chick flicks. Sleepless In Seattle springs to mind instantly as a shitpot.

I'll not comment on your last, Lev, since I don't want SnP, Homie, Dave, or Paul to pull my man-card

Some of my faves, INPO-

original Star Wars Trilogy
Godfather trilogy
most Kevin Smith movies, esp Mallrats
Dazed and Confused
Top Gun
Princess Bride
High Society
Quiet Man
Hellfighters
Rio Bravo
Singin' in the Rain
Gone in 60 Seconds
M*A*S*H*
Ten Commandments
History of the World

Don't remember too many that I despised

Believe it or not, Starship Troopers is probably my favorite. Also happens to be my favorite book. Weird huh? Considering the two are virtually nothing alike.

Gets tough after that. On my Netflix account, of the 147 movies I've rated, only 9 get 5 stars... I'm pretty picky with my 5 star picks. Of those 9, it's really tough to pick favorites, but here are a few more:

K-19: The Widowmaker
We Were Soldiers
The Manchurian Candidate (2004)
Troy
Something the Lord Made

As for least favorite... well, I really hated The Butterfly Effect. White Noise was painful as well.

Princess Bride
Boondock Saints
any monty python

worst:

which version did you see? the theatrical release or the directors edition?
two completly different endings. it made the difference between an ok movie and a good one IMO.

Original? Remake? help:confused:

It originally came out in the early 70s or so. The one with Nicholas Cage is a remake. I prefer the original...cooler cars, better stunts. Most video stores have both (now).

Empire Strikes Back
2001: A Space Odyssey(sp?)
Wizards (Ralph Bakshi)
A Clockwork Orange (Stanley Kubrick)...for a 70's view of future society...
Princess Bride
Ice Pirates
Blue Iguana
Big trouble in Little China
(The last three were just fun to watch... )

I won't mention the least favorites because the mere mention of their names gives me the dry heaves...
