anyone know anything about this software? good bad or otherwise?

the brand name it's given under by my ISP is Freedom Software.

my ISP offers it for a small monthly fee...just wanting some feedback cause if it's crap I won't bother.

If you want a firewall, get ZoneAlarm.

I've never had any luck blocking "incoming" traffic with ZoneAlarm.
I've used Sygate (free ver) for some time now and it's be quite effective.

Les, I'll give that software a try, and post my opinion on it when I get a minute or 2.

I think it's a corporate one solely for ISP's...I'd hoped someone had seen it at some point...but I have never even heard of it, so I guess it's newish.

I'm tryin out ZA, will see how it goes...
and you're right so far it doesn't seem so great on the inbound dealie.

Pretty slick firewall. Gonna need a box to install it on, but it doesn't use an OS per sa. It is the OS.
