DUBLIN, Ga. — Police said a 15-year-old girl robbed and fatally shot two men who had given her and a 14-year-old friend a ride to a motel, and both girls were arrested Thursday.

The killings were "very methodical," said John Bankhead, spokesman for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (search).

The bodies of Fredrick Williams (search), 25, and Reante Stanley (search), 26, both of Dublin, were found hours after they were shot early Wednesday. The girls stole about $200 from the men, authorities said.

Police Chief Wayne Cain said the older girl flagged down the two victims on the side of the road and asked them to give her and her companion a ride.

On the way to the motel, the car made several stops, including at a home where the 15-year-old picked up the small-caliber gun she used in the shootings, Cain said.

The two men checked into separate rooms, and the 15-year-old later walked into each room and shot the men, Cain said.

District Attorney Craig Fraser said the girls will be prosecuted as adults. Fifteen-year-old Lakeisha Davis (search) of Dublin was charged with murder and armed robbery. The 14-year-old, who was not immediately identified, was charged with armed robbery.

Authorities said they did not know if the girls, who were being held at separate youth detention facilities, had obtained attorneys.

Dublin is 120 miles southeast of Atlanta.

What I saw is an account of a girl murdering two people.

As for the crack about Georgia...no more so than anywhere else, preconceptions notwithstanding.

These guys lived in Dublin yet checked into a local motel with two teenage girls, the fact the girls went willingly not withstanding ,these two are no better than any other pedophile(sp) IMO.It wasn't a crack about Georgia  the age of sexual consent varies from region to region .:shrugs:

So how do we make the jump to pedophile here? There is more evidence to support a Good Samaritan mindset.

Did the murder victims ask for ID?

We don't know.

What we do know, is that two men are dead, robbed...and already we are trying to make them into villans.

Do good samaritans always check themselves into seperate motel rooms when they already live in that town ,thats the part that seems suspicious.

I suspect there is something missing in the story though as the girls were the ones going to motel and yet its the guys who checked in. :shrugs:

Two teenage females have been arrested in connection with the murder of two men in the Laurens County town of Dublin.

John Bankhead with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation tells WSB's Jeff Dantre', "The two men picked the girls up, offered to give them a ride, and they did. They then took the girls to a motel and that's where the crime was carried out."

A 15-year-old who is identified as Lakeisha Davis has been charged with murder and her 14-year-old accomplice is charged with armed robber. "We feel the men felt there was going to be some other activity involved but apparently the two girls had other ideas and that obviously robbery was the motive and murder was the result," says Bankhead.

The victims have been identified as 25-year-old Frederick Rodricus Williams and 26-year-old Reante Antwan Stanley, both of Dublin which is southeast of Macon. The two girls are also from Dublin. It is unknown if the two men and two teens were acquainted with each other before the crime.

Craig Fraser, the District Attorney for the Dublin Judicial Circuit, will prosecute the case. It has not been determined whether the two will be tried as adults.
