That is pretty cool. Interesting stuff. I wonder if this can count as evidence of evolution and adaptation
 
Because it hasn't been observed in the wild (it has been in captivity) doesn't mean it's new.

What it basically means is that the apes in captivity weren't mimicking humans by using tools. ;)

Adaption and evolution are two completely seperate issues, freako. The great apes intelligence and capacity for using tools is an adaptation, and proof of nothing more than their intelligence at work. Even crows use tools...;)
