I believe as the story goes she was accosted by the Capitol Hill PD in '06 because she went around a checkpoint w/o an accepted ID badge and the officer didn't recognize her as she had recently changed her hairstyle. She resisted his advances to the point of assault, and in her defense cried racial profiling aka walking while black:
