Has anyone else read...

read MANY of his other book, but not this one, but it is of the childe cycle so I will have to look for it.

It's either book number 1 or number 2 in the cycle, depending upon who you talk to...

I find them sort of non-chronological, there are certain eras that go together, in order (dorsai sub-cycle for example) but besides that you don't miss much by reading them out of order.

I also like his other works, liek the dragon night, the pilgram, etc.

Wolf and Iron is my favorite book by far though.
