I wanted to do a poll on who has or intends to make a donation to the relief effort.

I personally think that even if everyone in the world who were able to gave at least a dollar that would add up to a considerable amount.

I think that everyone in the world that can donate should feel morally obligated too...what do you think?

I have already donated an amount. Have you? if you don't intend to, why not?

6 billion plus dollars

Yes, I have donated as much as my budget allows.

Sweden(as in the gov't) gave 500 million SEK ~$74 million.

I've donated as much as I could at that time. I fully intend on donating more once pay-day comes next week. I donated through Red Cross who have drop-boxes at my work.

I had big plans for today, tonight, tomorrow .... now they're all their way to Asia.

Much like the Baudelaire children, a series of unfortunate events have robbed me of several vactions these last two years.

So beware the Frumious Bandersnatch

I haven't donated money, but you can bet I'll be donating time. What are the odds you'll give me on if I'll be posting from Thailand anytime soon? ;)

If you get posted to Thailand, you need to send me a postcard from the Noo-kie province.

I'm sure tonks and the kids would love to see that arrive in the mail... :D

The Gov't here has promised several million of my tax dollars to the effort. Personally, I can't recall much relief effort from Sri Lanka during the ice storm here, so bugger them.

My government is donating my tax dollars they took from me. So yes, I have donated. I haven't seen many foreign nations in the region sending boxes of money to us when we got slammed, but still, I donated. I'm just a swell guy I guess.

We had a mini-one of those over the weekend. It sucked. I can only imagine what yours was like.

NEW YORK - Actress Sandra Bullock donated $1 million to the American Red Cross to help relief efforts for countries affected by the deadly tsunami.

The funds will go to supplies and technical assistance in the region. The death toll around the Indian Ocean rim approached 140,000. Searchers all but gave up hope of finding more survivors from the Dec. 26 killer earthquake and tsunami, with authorities saying that thousands listed as missing were presumed dead. The world turned its full attention to getting food and water to the living.

Bullock, 40, also donated $1 million to the organization after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
