Freshman year only. Doesn't really matter to me, as GT hasn't had a real team since the year they had to "share" the national championship with Colorado. Freaking ripoff.
So you won't mind when Fresno State takes the Yellow Jackets to school.
I guess you could say the Silicon Valley Football Classic is meaningless, as is the Seattle Bowl, the Humanitarian Bowl or the New Orleans Bowl (at least this year North Texas won't be in the bowl with a 5-6 record). About all it's good for is tourism dollars.
I checked the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's web site and the Georgia Tech rant was mostly "Fire Chan Gailey." Is there much "fire Gailey" sentiment around there?
