Also, rednecks are far from exclusive to the south. The most rednecks I ever met were in the corridor from Harrisburg, PA through to Watertown, NY.
 
I was going to say I knew far more rednecks in upstate New York than I've ever met in the south.

Actually, a lot of my extended family are rednecks, but they speak French. Still, some of them live in the Quebec part of the Appalachians. There's 15 cms of snow and it's around -15C as we speak (warm December for those parts). I'm heading there for the 25th.
