Honeymoon talk

erm, well, I haven't made any kind of announcement to the board yet, but I'm now engaged. :drink:

I'm interested in some suggestions/ideas on possibly honeymoon locales, since that is my biggest responsibility at the moment for wedding planning stuff (thank God!).

Exotic, Romantic, Relaxing. Tropical, Beach, Warm.

Those are pretty much our desires. Having just come back from Hawaii, we'd also like to keep the plane flight reasonable. :)

Mexican and Caribbean islands destinations seem like natural choices... but which ones? I'm also interested in those all inclusive paid up front don't worry about nothin' honeymoon packages. So... any ideas?

Probably not Cancun. What about Kozumel? Jamaica, Bahamas, Virgin Islands? Anything really "knock your socks off" that you guys know about?

bora bora....or anything thereabouts....divine tropical paradise that is not overrun with commercialism....congrats BTW.

first off congrats. or condolences.

my parents went to Belize and Kozumel for anniversaries and they loved it there

Congrats :)

Locations?.........hmm, well the best advice I could give ya would be to choose somewhere not too grand, that way yer missus won't be comparing ever other holiday yer ever make to the honeymoon ;)

Oh, and location is always very important......never choose anywhere where the bed is located next to the wall..........it upsets the folks in the room next to ya when the headboard bangs :D

Nassau, Bahamas --- Radisson Inn, Cable Beach. All inclusive. All the drinks you want. White sand beach, clear water. Drinks.

I'd recommend it. I'm biased, though, got married there myself almost two years ago. The wedding ceremony is free if you stay at least three nights all-inclusive. :)
