My dad scolded me on using that term once. It sounds rather desperate.

Why not just say Billions.

I just finished rereading Cosmos for like (dare I say it) the billionth time. Great read. Second only to James Burke's The Day the Universe Changed.

Is that the big black carl sagan book that's loaded with pictues and talks about...well everything?

I'd forgotten all about that book. I've got it sitting on a dusty shelf somewhere. I don't agree with all of Sagans ideas but he's an amazing writer. Must be about time to pull it out again.

10-15k -Damn. Doing pretty well...

I only wish he could remake it now. So much has been discovered since.


But the thing I love the most is the manner in which it presents science. So easy to comprehend. No formulas, no microscopic details. Just a global picture. A long view.

Putting science to the lamen is an important task and he did it with brilliant skill.

I'm sure he's scratching at his coffin at some of todays discoveries...
