In order to place a suggestion up for consideration, it is necessary that all words in said suggestion be spelled correctly. Or is it spelt.

I know that Mark Twain once said that the difference between the right word and the almost-right word is the difference between lightning and the lightning bug, but even "good enough for government work" is looking pretty good right now.

and the gentleman with the Queen's tongue has it correct. It's a matter of tense when either is used.
