I look out and there is a 747

i live on the flight path for boston's airport. i'm used to seeing the smaller airliners over my house but every now and then, one of the jumbo jets flys over. (they usually bring them in over the harbor, but sometime weather conditions make that impossible)
i get very nervous when i see one of those lumbering monsters over my house. i probably would have stroked out if i saw it fly by my window!
 
That would be rather intense. Have to keep an eye on this one to see what happens. What real power do we have over Chinese Airlines?
 
if they are in the US Airspace then they have to abide by US regulations

that would of been a sight
 
exactly, Chinese aircraft have to have a flight plan the same as any other plane
 
We're under the final approach to Kennedy Airport and while I'm sitting here, I catch sight of one out the window next to me about every two to four minutes. What's *really* fun is when the Concord flies over the house. The first time it did at 9am on a Saturday morning, it woke me up, it was so freakin loud.

They're pretty low and sometimes loud, which made it really unnerving after September 11th. They come directly at my house from the ocean, a few blocks away, so I get to see their 'headlights' approaching when we're watching tv at night. :eek:
 
some friends of mine are on the opposite end of the concorde run from you, under the heathrow flight path. they still go out to watch it come in at about 9pm because its so different from the usual landings :)
