PARKFIELD, Calif. (AP) -- A strong earthquake struck Central California on Tuesday that was felt from San Francisco to the Los Angeles area. There were no immediate reports of injuries.

The quake, which struck at 10:15 a.m. PDT, had a preliminary magnitude of 6.0 and was centered 7 miles southeast of Parkfield, the town known as California's earthquake capital, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Saw the thread I posted on it, huh? :p

The reason I was offline much of the night tonight wasn't because of earthquakes; rather, it's because I was in the process of upgrading to a P4-2.8E GHz with 1GB of DDR PC3200 RAM and a 160GB 7200 RPM SATA hard drive, and doing a fresh install of Windows 2000 on it. This system is pretty quiet now... well, at least compared to my T-Bird 1.2 with a 7,000RPM Delta Black Label fan.
