I've set up filters on outlook to redirect it to my deleted items folder as soon as it arrives, but now it's started coming in html form and the filter doesn't work.

Any ideas on how else to stop it short of DOS ing the site?

My Hotmail account used to get spammed. It still does... I use it to sign up for online stuff, with all those companies that promise to "never reveal it" to other people even though I tick "don't email me about special offers." Now I set up the email so that if the SUBJECT contains any of the following words, it goes to junk mail. I get about 3 or 4 spam a week now instead of 20 a day.

and I'd still getting them! But at my ISP. I have blocked the senders, sent em straight to delete, have never answered any and still they come. Though I did get one perpetrator kicked off Yahoo for violating the terms of service.

I don't get spam at my ISP at all. None. But then, I only give that email out to close friends and coworkers, and family of course. I don't know what to say to you except maybe get a different ISP?

I like my ISP - it's my cable company NTL - tech support is good, if sometimes difficult to get hold of, but charged at local call rates. I don't want to go with BT 'cos from past experience they're a bunch of wankers, they're lower down the top 10 ISP list than NTL, plus all the others are more expensive unless you have a BT phone-line. Cheapskate.

I suppose I should change to separate folders for each of my different addresses to see which one is getting the spam and then change it to something else. Trouble is then I'll have to go around all my site memberships and change them too - oh well ...

i keep 2 email accounts. i have a hotmail account that i use to sign up for stuff. after i get the confimation e-mail, i forward that to my real e-mail account. the hotmail account has everything sent to junk mail. i check the hotmail once a month or so to empty it.

I only have 5 which I regularly use now - 2 net based and 3 ISP although I can have 5 ISP and also delete & replace them as I wish. I empty my hotmail every few days. I use that and my Talk21 account for communications from my websites and I only give out my ISP user name account to family and very close friends or sites like my bank with the proviso that it is not disclosed to anyone else.

only one of our 5 pop3 accouts gets spam here at home [hotmail just goes without saying] and that's because the wife signed up to some online bollocks test or somehting. every day we recieve stuff and i remind her what a div she is. luckily its an ntl account we will probly dump in a month or so.

yeah, but she's proliferated the email to all her friends and some work contacts and doesn't want to. now she has a lower-case acc all other emails are redundant in reality, hopefully moving will force the change.
