Interesting, Bush has been hovering around the upper 50's to the low 60's in his overall job rating. Starts a war, and this happens.

"Do you approve or disapprove of the way George W. Bush is handling his job as president?"

So where did all the anti-war people go?
 
It's quite possible that a lot are like squiggs. Against the war, but once it starts, it's time to present a united front.
 
I believe there are studies that show most people tend to do that.

Remember though, there is no real news from the front yet. The news (propoganda) is being controlled much better than in the past. If things turn ugly, or already are worse than that single view of Baghdad we keep seeing seems to indicate this could all change.

People currently think he's gonna surrender, and his troops will all surrender and there will be no REAL urban warfare. If this assumption is correct GW may just even manage to get reelected. If not, well...

btw, if it wasn't clear, I'm not one who approves. The world is against his war plans, yet he continues. Most economists are against the economic fiasco he's planning, yet he continues... etc etc...

Its quite possible I might even have to vote for a democrat next time :(

Let me inform you right now there's not a snowballs chance in hell of that. Not even the slightest. Some of his troops might, maybe even some republican guard, but not Saddam. He too much fears being ripped limb from limb. Never happen.
