"So, Your Honor, the Pledge is unconstitutional because it says 'Under God'. Guess that means when you were sworn in with your hand on a Bible, and at the end of your oath repeated, 'So Help Me God' that makes your job unconstitutional, therefore you have no job, which means your ruling doesn't mean anything." --Dennis Miller addressing the U.S. 9th Circuit Court.

But if the ruling doesn't mean anything, then it's not unconstitutional, and so they do have a job which means that their ruling is still in force.

Which means that they are still unconstitutional thanks to the ruling still being in place, which puts them out of a job again, and cancels out the ruling once again, making it not unconstitutional... :retard:

This GOD thing is becoming stupid.

A boy at a local high school here in Hawaii is suing his school because of a plaque on a wall given to the school in the 20s ... that plaque has the word GOD on it.

Just walk past the damn plaque without looking at it ... everyone else probably does. And hello, he's suing the school for money ... which has the word GOD on it too ... oh, where does this horror end

So they give him say 2 grand,

but wait, since it has god on it, he can't accept it, so we'll keep it.

So he sues the school for another 2 grand, gets it,
but wait, it has god on it. Guess we'll be keeping that too.

Take away jury trials, make them all bench trials. That, and adopt a 'loser pays' legal system like the Brits. 90% of frivilous lawsuits will vaporize overnight. Everyone is just looking to settle out of court for a few thousand dollars. Carrying a mid level to major lawsuit through to fruition would cost a defendant 3 times as much as just settling. Its all about getting a free ride based upon weakneses in the system.
