Just sad.

NBC said Wednesday that it had cast the role of Lynch in a TV movie scheduled to go into production this month. The movie has been developed without Lynch's authorization. But the network has said it was in talks with her to participate.

CBS abandoned its plans for a Lynch movie. CBS News had come under scrutiny after sending Lynch a letter that highlighted the prospect of a TV movie and other opportunities at sister companies while CBS was seeking a news interview.

Come off it!!! I'm sure that there have been other PoW's in the past who have had far worse experiences than here....do you see them splashed all over TV? No. Why does she deserve special treatment??

well, it's called bussiness, first of all, she's a girl, second you guys need some heroic story about the latest war, third she wants to make some money.

Heroics? errm lesses...getting captured...errr no. Getting legs and arms broken.....no. Getting captured on your first tour could be likened to screwing up on your first day

Well if that's the case then lets make the spec ops that rescued her rich, not her.

we could but arent they supposed to not exsist if theyre caught? or is that the black ops?besides the media is making her the hero somehow. not the people who rescued her. but the heroics are the ones who rescued her.

she did her job and got caught. some other people then did their job. what a fabulous story, i suppose as long as it distracts from the servicemen returning in bodybags and other less ratings-worthy news.

This girl had a bad time i'm sure but i promise you this, a year from now our boys and girls in the field will hardly be able to identify with her. A few weeks is one thing but a year in hell will(sadly) mature our youth beyond its years. This kid is lucky. Not only is she already out of Iraq but shes an incorrect & popular theme.
