British consumers are becoming increasingly fond of sweet products. Recent figures from trend tracking company Datamonitor show that the U.K. consumed 23% of the entire European sugar confectionary market in 2001. The U.K. also has the largest chocolate consumption rate in Europe. Last year, Britons ate 30% of the total European chocolate market - equivalent to 661 million kilograms of the stuff.

Well, have fun... I like KK, but only once in a while. :p I don't have a very sweet tooth.
 
Yum, yum! I don't have a particularly sweet tooth, but I do have a thing about american doughnuts - especially chocolate ones. I will definately have to pay a visit to the London one. :D
 
Krispy Kremes speciality is hot white glazed right out of the oven. They turn on a lght in the front window that says 'hot doughnuts' 2 minutes before they finish cooking. It causes a stampede down here.
 
It'll probably cause a stampede here too but at a more dignified British pace. :D

Come to think of it - nah, it's London, knees and elbows everywhere! ;)

nah, its not selling meat pies for half-time so i can't see any mad football stampedes. ;)
 
i dont think there are any KK up this way. there would be no place to put them even if they wanted to move in this area. dunkin donuts has just about every intersection and gas station covered here.
 
I love Krispy Kreme, there's one only a few miles away, I'm so lucky. :D My father's getting sort of teased by them, they just opened a Krispy Kreme a block away from his house, but he had been diagnosed with diabetes a couple of weeks before it opened. :(
 
I can't wait for KK to open here. :dance:
The last time we (me, Ku'u and Na) went to CA, I was awakened from a dead sleep, overjoyed that one of the aunty's boyfriend had brought over some KK donuts for breakfast. And I don't even like donuts but I'll do anything for a KK donut :D
