I'd tend to think that global warming would be more likely to trigger wildfires that aren't "believed to have been started by human activity," as that fire is, according to your link.

It was a rather dry winter over here this year... but droughts aren't exactly uncommon. Just the prior winter, it was a good bit wetter than normal.

Cows farting... and there are a fuckload of cows in the Central Valley, which sits between the ocean and the Sierra Nevada range.
 
Since the "climate" moves from west to east, the California drought (well, all 87 of them in the last century) is cause by India. They won't kill their cows & that's killing Californias climate.
