I just saw this for the first time. I don't know if it's because I'm part-Japanese, but I thought it was great that Clint Eastwood directed this side of the story too.
I liked it, Ithought it was better than Flags of our Fathers
It's pretty heavy, though, I don't think I could watch it a lot ... kinda like Schindler's List.
