I've got a hub here in the shop that locks up whenever something major gets changed in the network, like if I put a new router in, or change IP addys for boxes. It really pisses me off because the wife person does QuickBooks, which we store the data for on the server. QuickBooks gets really pissy when it looses connectivity to the server.

ive had good luck with linksys switches in the past, specifically the ef3116 and ef3124 (around $125 at cdw.com)
