In a closed-door Capitol Hill briefing on the Haiti crisis today, U.S. Rep. Corrine Brown, D-Fla., blasted President Bush for a"racist" policy toward the Caribbean nation carried out by a "bunch of white men."

Brown was speaking to Assistant Secretary of State Roger Noriega, the State Department's top official for Latin America.

Noriega, who was sitting across the table from Brown when she yelled her remarks into a microphone, later responded, according to the Associated Press: "As a Mexican-American, I deeply resent being called a racist and branded a white man."

Three participants in the meeting said Brown then told Noriega "you all look alike to me."

Father who married daughter ordered back to prison

A 53-year-old man was sent back to prison after a judge decided the man had violated a probation order barring him from cohabitation with his 30-year-old daughter, who is also his former wife.

Mobile County Circuit Judge John Lockett ordered Carroll Eugene Ferdinandsen to prison on Thursday after determining he violated a probation order barring him from cohabitation with Alice Ferdinandsen.

Each had pleaded guilty to incest last summer in connection with their May 2003 civil marriage in Mobile County and served six months in jail before being released in January.

Prosecutors presented police witnesses who testified they found the father and daughter together in motel rooms on two occasions, just days after the couple's release from jail.

well I dont understand why they arrest people for incest. I mean what a waste of money. Just say no you cant get endorsed by the state to make it more likely to produce genetic mutants no less so then the state will sanction a non related couple blinding their kids for no reason other then because they love each other. Now if a dad and a daughter (in her 30s?? in this example?) decide they want a sexual relationship well they can do it behind closed doors without parading it to everyone they can find. why arrest someone for that?
