a 55-year-old grandfather and owner of several construction companies will take home $111.7 million in cash for winning Christmas night's Powerball lottery drawing.

good for him. he obviously needs the cash...

i thought he took home 70mill instead of having to wait for it all or something. Maybe that was in pounds.

I won a tenner the other day. :D

maybe it's a good thing that he's rich, because he'll have more of a reason to give to charity.

Rich? He works for his money

After three pastors take 10 percent of his winnings, Whittaker said he would put some of the cash into his three construction companies and hoped to hire back workers laid off before Christmas. He talked of moving out of his 10-year-old brick home into a gated community. And indulging a businessman's fantasy, Whittaker allowed that he might finally buy a helicopter he has been mooning over for years...."I have 25 people laid off right now at Christmas, and I want more work so I can put them back to work," he said. He said he now employs 117 people.

Sounds like a pretty deserving fellow to me. When is it going to be ok to be successful in this country?
