and who does it best. Not something to be proud of, to be sure...but a 'survival technique'? Give me a break.

Most females lie "more cleverly and successfully than men" about everything from infidelity and facelifts to barhopping and shopping binges, according to a new book.

"Women lie as a survival technique, but also to get what they want," said Susan Shapiro Barash, author of "Little White Lies, Deep Dark Secrets: The Truth About Why Women Lie," published by St. Martin's Press this week.

AFAIK, lying is for one thing, and one thing only...to get what you want.

The degree in which it's spoken speaks volumes.

Do I look old?

Did you take his bike?

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God. "

One reason why I don't play the corporate 'game' well. I have trouble hiding my emotions when I'm angry. As my boss says, I wear my heart on my sleeve. Which is why I prefer real people who are just themselves I guess. But it doesn't make for good tactics in getting ahead at all costs.

I've found that getting ahead is not all it's cracked up to be though, so it's all good. :)

eh, I try to stay away from thid jerry springer type stuff.
