A STRIP CLUB patron who claims his testicle had to be removed after he was hit in the groin by the night's main attraction is suing the club for $55,000.
Marc Sims of Ottawa filed a lawsuit this week against dancer Jessica Vander and Cabaret Le Pink on Aylmer Rd. in Gatineau in connection with an alleged incident on Dec. 10, 1999.
In his statement of claim, Sims, who attended the club with a group of eight friends, said "after a great deal of convincing" on the part of the dancer, he agreed to lie down on stage and have her sit on his chest.
During this time, the woman, who, according to the statement, was not provoked, "delivered a sharp blow" to his scrotum.
"He experienced an immediate throbbing pain in his groin and was unable to walk and had to crawl off the stage," the statement said.
As Sims prepared for bed after returning home from the bar, it said, he noticed bruising around his groin and that his right testicle had swollen to the size of a baseball.
