Tricon Global Restaurants, the Pepsi-Cola spin-off company that owns KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut, is really launching its new logo! Trying to find new and innovative ways of spreading their marketing message, the company recently considered a plan to project the Pizza Hut logo onto the moon by means of a high-powered laser system. The company ultimately abandoned this disturbing idea. But it makes you wonder how closely they may have been working with defense contractors on this gizmo. And, one ponders where this line of thinking will go next. What natural feature of the landscape will next be marred? Shall we dye the ocean pink for Owens-Corning insulation? Perhaps carve El Capitan into the shape of the Rock of Gibraltar for the benefit of Prudential? Anyhow, Pizza Hut has settled on getting its logo at least partway to the moon. Tricon bought the rights to emblazon the Pizza Hut logo on the Russian Proton rocket that will carry the living quarters of the International Space Station into orbit in November.

Don't need to tell me.......I live in the country that spawned The Weakest Link..........and nothing recieved as much pulicity than that :eh:

Personally I think the smiley face should appear projected on the moon from the months October - May :)
 
Actually, I think McDonald's should buy the mood ad rights instead, and then bring back "Mac Tonight." Then twice a month, halfway between the last quarter and the new moon, and between the new moon and the first quarter, project the Mac Tonight face on it. :D
 
Just as soon as we see ads on these space vehicles & modules, the other politcal leaning group will begin yelling that NASA is controlled by those damned evil, vile, murdering, stealing from a babies mouth, taking the shoes off a homeless guys feet BIG MONEY GRUBBING CPRPORATIONS..... :)

Do we really need another one of those situations?
