I say Missouri, with an "i" at the end. My boss says Missouri, with an "a" sound at the end, as in "mis' - sou - ra"

Missouri means "my mouse" in French, doesn't it?

I use an "i" sound but then again, what would I know...??? I have been pronouncing New York "Yak Nork" for years.

Inside a studio at Channel Three, Abe helps them decorate by hanging a
large U.S. flag behind Homer's podium.

Marge: There are only 49 stars on that flag.
Abe: I'll be deep in the cold, cold ground before I recognize
Missourah!

Thats OK... Ive been calling York 'Thatcherville' for years. Just a small flub of pronunciation.

Well, I reckon that depends on whether you are from here or not, or what part of the state you are from. Big City people usually use the eeee. Small town, and backwoods people use Missourah. Then them nuts up in Columbia at Mizzou, pronounce it Mizzou.
