What's the deal? Can I extend my 36" VGA cable on my 19" monitor or not? The connector line is hardwired in the case so I need an extension cable. Most that I see say "only good for 17" or smaller monitors". WTF? I only want a 6' extension...

I have this 10-foot Belkin extension that's real thin. The image quality sucks with it. But the thick Compaq one RadioShack sells results in much-improved image quality compared to the Belkin. My guess is thicker cables and better insulation.
I figured, WTF, & went to Staples & bought the Belkin 10' cable knowing full well they'd probably go back, which they will, tomorrow. I'm sucha cheapo bastard I can't bring myself to part with $30. more to get the "better" alternative.
