Excellent film! Compelling unlikely lesbian love story, but there are some powerful performances here. Charlize Theron is masterful and Christina Ricci was also great. Based on a true story but I think it may lack a bit in accuracy. Definate two thumbs up kind of film in my book. Rent it!

The problem is that by the end of an average day we're both too knackered to last an entire 2 hours past 9 PM (when the boy goes down).

I have to agree as well. Amazing movie. As definite must see.

I just rented it and watched it. Then I watched the making of. And... wow. It just floored me. The amount of research that went into this. The makeup for Charlize Theron to look almost exactly like Aileen Wuornos.

Charlize's performance was breathtaking, especially when you watch the making of and find out how exhausting it was because she got so deep in the character.

It makes me wonder. If Aileen was alive today, would she appreciate this movie?
