Hewlett-Packard said Monday it will begin including the Netscape Internet browsing software on its personal computers, handing Time Warner's America Online unit a potential marketing coup at the expense of Microsoft Corp.
H-P (HPQ: news, chart, profile) , the No. 2 maker of PC's behind Dell Inc., said that beginning early next year consumers in the U.S. and Canada will be able to select the Netscape program as their browser of choice when they set up their machines. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
