No, I don't want to live on the moon

Well, I'd like to visit the moon
On a rocketship high in the air.
Yes, I'd like to visit the moon,
But I don't think I'd like to live there.
Though I'd like to look down at the earth
From above,
I'd miss all the places
and people I love,
So although I might like it for one afternoon,
I don't want to live on the moon.

I'd like to travel under the sea.
I could meet all the fish everywhere.
Yes, I'd travel under the sea,
But I don't think I'd like to live there.
I might stay for a day there
If i had my wish,
But there's not much to do
When your friends are all fish,
And an oyster and clam aren't real family,
So I don't want to live under the sea.

I'd like to visit the jungle,
Hear the lion's roar;
Go back and meet a dinosaur.
There's so many strange places I'd like to be
But none of them permanently.

So if I should visit the moon,
Well, I'll dance on a moonbeam, and then
I will make a wish on a star,
And I'll wish I was home once again.
Though I'd like to look down at the earth from above,
I would miss all the places
And people I love
So although I may go,
I'll be coming home soon,
'Cause I don't want to live on the moon.
No, I don't want to live on the moon.

:D I found this page of muppet song lyrics, wow, the happy kid feelings sure come back. :D

Another of my favourites:

Rubber Ducky, you're the one,
You make bathtime lots of fun,
Rubber Ducky, I'm awfully fond of you;

(woh woh, bee doh!)

Rubber Ducky, joy of joys,
When I squeeze you, you make noise!
Rubber Ducky, you're my very best friend, it's true!

(doo doo doo doooo, doo doo)

CHORUS: Every day when I
Make my to the tubby
I find a little fella who's
Cute and yellow and chubby

(rub-a-dub-a-dubby!)

Rubber Ducky, you're so fine
And I'm lucky that you're mine
Rubber ducky, I'm awfully fond of you.

(repeat chorus)

Rubber Ducky, you're so fine
And I'm lucky that you're mine
Rubber ducky, I'm awfully fond of -
Rubber ducky, I'd like a whole pond of -
Rubber ducky I'm awfully fond of you!

(doo doo, be doo.) :D

Speaking of Rubber Ducky ...

We were watching a Celine Dion special on VH1 yesterday, and it showed a clip of Celine singing to "Harry" on Sesame Street. I thought it was Cookie Monster. Everyone in the room just looked at me like I was stoopid and said, "hello, that's Harry." Has it been that long since I've watched Sesame Street? There was no Harry when I was young. (For that matter, there was no Elmo or Zoe either, but I know who they are).

hehehe .. at first I thought she was asking because she didn't have her contacts on or something .. but then I realized it was actually because she had no idea who it was *L*

i'm gonna write a new song

[*s4 clears throat and nervously looks for tomatoes and banana peelings]

My rocket is long and hard
Let me take you to a trip
on the moon where
the fat on my butt wont
make me feel like a fat tard

[to be continued... headbang ]

"Windmills of Your Mind"

Spoken: I'm very relaxed. I'm terribly calm and tranquil.
I'm very very relaxed indeed -- on the outside,
but on the inside...

I'm like a circle in a spiral, like a wheel within a wheel.
I'm never ending nor beginning, on an ever-spinning reel.
Just like a snowball down a mountain or a carnival balloon,
Or like a carousel that's turning, running rings around the moon.

'Cause like a clock whose hands are sweeping past the minutes of its face,
See that the world is like an apple whirling silently in space.
Just like the circles that you find, they're in the windmills of your mind.

Just like a tunnel that you follow to a tunnel of its own,
Way down a hollow to a cavern where the sun is never shown.
Just like a door that keeps revolving in a half-forgotten dream,
Or like the ripples from a pebble someone tosses in a stream.

'Cause like a clock whose hands are sweeping past the minutes of its face,
See that the world is like an apple whirling silently in space.
Just like the circles that you find, they're in the windmills of your mind.

There's a jingle in your pocket, there's a jingle in your head,
Why did summer go so quickly, was it something that you said?
See lovers walk along the shore and leave their footprints in the sand,
Or is the sound of distant drumming just the fingers of your hand?

See people streaming in the hallway, see the fragment of a song,
Half-remembered names and faces but to whom do they belong?
'Cause when you knew that it was over you were suddenly aware
Then that the Autumn leaves were turning to the colour of her hair.

Just like a circle in a spiral like a wheel within a wheel,
Never ending nor beginning on an ever-spinning reel,
It's just these images of mind, just like the circles that you find,
They're in the windmills of your mind.

(Collides with windmill)

Spoken: But on the outside I'm very calm.... aaaaahhhhhh!

"The Rainbow Connection" (From the Muppet Movie)

Why are there so many songs about rainbows
And whats on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions
And rainbows have nothing to hide
So we've been told and some choose to believe it
I know there wrong, wait and see
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me

Who said that every wish would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star
Somebody thought of that, and someone believes it
And look what it's done so far
What's so amazing that keeps us star gazing
And what do we think we might see
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me

All of us underit's spell
We know that it's probably magic

Have you been half asleep? And have you heard voices?
I've heard them calling my name
Is this the sweet sound that calls the young sailors
The voice might be one in the same
I've heard it to many times to ignore it
It's somethingthat I'm supossed to be
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me

LA LA LA LA LA, LA LA LA LA LA LA, LA LA LA LA LA LA LAAAAAA

One of their best, Sing a Song

Sing, sing a song
Sing out loud
Sing out strong
Sing of good things not bad
Sing of happy not sad.

Sing, sing a song
Make it simple to last
Your whole life long
Don't worry that it's not
Good enough for anyone
Else to hear
Just sing, sing a song.

Sing, sing a song
Let the world sing along
Sing of love there could be
Sing for you and for me.

Sing, sing a song
Make it simple to last
Your whole life long
Don't worry that it's not
Good enough for anyone
Else to hear
Just sing, sing a song.

I loved that one.

"It's Not Easy Bein' Green" (lyrics by Joe Rapposo)

It's not that easy bein' green;
Having to spend each day the color of the leaves.
When I think it could be nicer being red, or yellow or gold-
or something much more colorful like that.

It's not easy bein' green.
It seems you blend in with so many other ordinary things.
And people tend to pass you over 'cause you're not standing out like flashy sparkles in the water- or stars in the sky.

But green's the color of Spring.
And green can be cool and friendly-like.
And green can be big like an ocean, or important like a mountain, or tall like a tree.

When green is all there is to be
It could make you wonder why, but why wonder why? Wonder,
I am green and it'll do fine, it's beautiful!
And I think it's what I want to be.
