no mouses please...

Too cute for words
Okay, my Trackman Marble Wheel that I've had since the late nineties is starting to act up. It sometimes double clicks when I click once, sometimes scrolls more or less than I expect it to and it doesn't always move the pointer as far as it should. I clean it quite frequently (yet carefully) but this doesn't seem to cure these problems. I won't use a mouse. Anyone know of any reason why I shouldn't simply replace it with the newest, optical version of the same thing? Note that I have never understood the reason for a wireless trackball. Here's a pic, I'd like to stay with the same basic layout.

Any suggestions?

He did. :D

I'd say if you've had it for seven or more years, you've gotten your money's worth out of it.

Yup, not complaining at all. I'm still typing on the original Microsoft Natural Keyboard (the extra wide one) that I bought at the same time.
