Jesse and the Race-baiters are now complaining that use of the term "refugee" to describe victims of the hurricane in Louisiana is racist and condescending, and papers like the Baltimore Sun are lapping it up.

The paper says use of the term is another example of the bias permeating coverage of the disaster in the national media.

"The use of the term refugee doesn't benefit anybody," said Richard E. Vatz, a professor of rhetoric and communication at Towson University. "It's another way of depicting African-Americans as hierarchically low, and I understand why they wouldn't want to be associated with that."

**end**

Just so in these harrowing, troubled times we face no one forgets that it really is all about race. Nothing else really matters, you know. Just race. Race race race race.

If these people would exert 10% the energy they spent coming up with this nonsense toward providing real relief, their efforts might see some real reward. Instead, all they can think about is race. Who's the real racist here?

*sigh* I heard him say the same thing (re refugees) in an interview Sunday. The interviewer just blew right by it and you could tell Jesse wanted to say more. A few questions later he mentioned it again even though it was a completely unrelated to the discussion by then. I guess controversy sells, even when you have to make it up. When are people going to stop paying attention to this attention seeking con artist?

You can't get oppressed people to vote for you to save them, until you convince them that they're oppressed and in need of saving.

...everybody's had to fight to be free...

Hey, are Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, Mario Andretti, etc. racists? :lloyd:

So they're housing impaired or what?

No no PT, then your saying they are somewhat impaired and lower than those with housing. How about alternatively housed.

Who is this guy and where is this place, A quick google shows that he's no one and thats nowhere. Excellent use of bringing out the little guns.

Does anyone on the planet (or at least in the media) know what a dictionary is?

Does that make me a Scottish Irish German Dutch Cherokee American?

Nope. It makes you a mutt. Just like every other American who's family has been here for more than three generations.
