Of All the Hare-Brained Ideas!

Oh welllll

You have shown me the true meaning of "If you snooze you lose"

I should have realized the otcentral is on the cutting edge of all that is trendy, trivial, and newsworthy....

"A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel" (Proverbs 12:10). Should we do with an animal what we will to the expense of their lives? After all, they are only a possession--right? When they are made to suffer, should we just look away?

Society has laws designed to prevent cruelty against animals but sadly few, it would seem, to protect a handicapped woman from her husband.

Is it a quaint Kwebekkian custom to call a woman "old boy" and "chap"?
It's actually very charming to see a person assume that everyone they deal with online is a male :winkkiss:

Whal, ah cudda jest called yeh a decrepid ol git, but Ah wuz tra'n t'be nass.

Where on that site does it say that anything cruel will happen to ol' Long Ears? Where does it say it'll suffer?

Yeah, you're probably right: they'll just twist Thumper's head and he won't feel a thing....maybe it's just the red eyes and whiskers that get to me.

Now don't get me wrong--when the situation calls for action I'm all for it:

Thinning the herd of white tailed deer aka Road Hazards in my area by any means other than the front bumper or sides of my vehicles is something I definately support. :devious:

guess paypal doesnt like to be used for emotional blackmail maybe?

That's what the article says.

So, how do you save Toby from being put in a cooking pot on June 30? The Web site says you can either buy merchandise, such as T-shirts and coffee mugs, or you can simply donate money to the cause. But after animal lovers besieged PayPal, the online payment company shut down the "save Toby" donations link.

I just sent him an e-mail wanting to know where to send money to get a tape of it getting whacked. Waiting on a reply.

Was that PETA flexing their muscles? :eyebrow: They always say they are for the animal's rights but here they fix things so's that no-one can donate to save poor little Toby's life. *handonhip

could be but then again this was reported to be bullshit anyway and PETA probably doesnt want them to make money. This is one of the few cases where I would side with PETA.

Clever marketing & humorous false objectives are no longer valid ways to make money?
