Nobody liked him & he sucked.

His replacement is looking better though.

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - A leading Wall Street ratings agency on Friday raised California's credit rating, citing an improving economy, the first such upgrade in four years and a move that promised to bring down the state's borrowing costs on $44 billion in debt.

Meanwhile, no governments in California have any money. At least he's making us sit through the budget cuts when we really need them. I'd have preferred Tom McClintock, we could certainly do worse than Arnold.

I wish I could find the article pointing out how many years ago, California's taxes were a lot lower but the government provided more services to the people than now.

I think this is a good place to point out some of the bills the California legislature has voted on this week.

Bills voted on this week would, if passed:
- Make it illegal for teenagers to use tanning booths
- Prevent recall elections from taking place if the person to be recalled resigns before the election
- Make it illegal for hotels to raise their rates more than 10 percent after a natural disaster in the area
- Make software companies tell you before they add spyware. This probably won't help with spyware in rogue programs, but should help with the spyware in Kodak's software, AOL's software, and so on
- Require "reasonable suspicion" before drug testing of students, banning random drug testing
- Give inheritance rights to children conceived from sperm taken from a man who died before the child's birth
- And here's the kicker: let officers write tickets with a $35 fine for the first offense and $150 fine for a second offense within two years, for doing anything distracting... such as putting on makeup, reading, talking on a cell phone (even with a hands-free kit), changing the radio station, smoking, interacting with your kids, reaching for something... and it goes on. Some call this a money grab.

Money grab seem sabout right but what with the debts of the state (I think thats what's going on anyway) It might ease the pressure a bit, its a pity you don't see city hall running around with collection jars...

Trying to prevent last years game. He better veto.

WTF is this? Are they talking about kids that are already conceived or kids that can be used for a money grab 20 years later?
