pot bust

Before I read the story, my first thought was, it happens all the time on federal land. Then I saw the haeadline :rofl3: dumbasses

I'm not completely sure, but if those plants were really 8-10ft high then it seems they were most likely mature and real close to harvest. That's just the way it goes, they were probably planning on being done with the project the next day or something.
 
heh........reminds me of a story that apeared in the UK newspapers about 5 yrs ago.

The authorities grew a field of canabis plants, to be used in medical testing. When it came time to harvest the stuff, in the middle of the field, they found a little campsite.......complete with small tent, gas stove, empty water bottles/food tins and about a thousand dog-ends from spliffs. Some cheekey bugger had actually been LIVING in the field! :D

The police decided not to pursue investigations.............in fact the police thought that anyone who could live like that and still manage to walk away, deserved to get away :)

Why on earth would they need an entire field of weed for testing? Methinks they were growing a bit more for other purposes perhaps ;)

Wouldn't surprise me :D Hell, our authorities could benefit from a good smoke;)

It'd certainly explain why they couldn't find the camper anyway..........I wonder how many applications they had for security guards on that job?:D

Any authorities could do with a bleedin good smoke! And I have learnt that, if you want the best stuff, ask the coppers - they can legally 'steal' it from other dealers - supposedly they have to destroy it, but yeah, right :rolleyes:

(I'd have applied for that job in a wink - but I wonder what the qualifications would be?)

poor babies- all that hard work. they should have found a better location- thats all or kept their mouth shut about it. they probably told someone who ratted on them. it is my experience that most( and i do say most) of the nonsmokers wouldn't reconize/notice a pot plant, local flora is just not something that people devote a whole lot of attention to. think about it. do you pay attention to the plants in your local park. i do but then again, i love to garden. so, either way it wasn't such a hot idea, i guess.

Actually the stuff has huge number of very benificial agricultural and industrial uses other than getting high....

Back in the 40s they figured out it was good for rope that was much stronger than anything they had at the time. I think it also had applications for plastics and bullet proof glass. (to be honest Im grasping trying to remember somthing I read like 7 years ago but you get the gist).
