I think we better take a picture, folks. This is so weird...I was just gonna make a similar thread...and I came in and saw this one right on top...

I was just thinking about how the Christian aspects of our society are being depleted so as to not offend people of other faiths who have come to this country/continent. Now, I know the states are more of a melting pot and I've never really been there so I am gonna focus my rant on Canada. We don't force anyone who comes here to give up their religion, hell, there was even a case where there was issue with Sikh (sp?) males in highschools carrying their kirpan...and it was decided that even though it has the POTENTIAL to be dangerous they could carry it...but anyone who was seen so much as undoing the strap that holds it in place on school property would be banned from carrying it...we are ACCOMIDATING as hell. Yet, the people who are native to this country are forced to give up things? They wanna take religious references outta our national anthem!! NOONE is forced to listen to it, even in schools if someone doesn't wanna listen they do into the hall, and it isn't played over the speakers in the hall. Another example, there is a girl who rides the same bus to school I do, she is muslim I think, she wearing a full face covering except her eyes. She uses a student bus pass to ride the bus (same as me) our passes have our pictures so that noone else can use them cause the University students get one HELL of a deal on the bus pass. Now, there is no way for the driver to tell if it's actually her pass cause her face is covered...if I tried to get on with something covering my face I'd have to remove it...I'm not saying she should have to remove her face coverings...because he religion forbids it...but I am saying Christians shouldn't have to give up shit if noone else does.

And if a Christian church really does fund the chapels in a hospital (all the hospitals I have ever been in by the way offer MANY "Quiet Rooms" with NOTHING religious in them) then they should NOT take down the cross...that's not fair. It's not like anyone is FORCED to go in there and if another religion wants to fund a room then let them...and let them have which ever religious symbols they want. The fact is that even if it's government funded, there are MANY non religious quiet rooms in every hospital, everyone else expects their religion to be catered to and they have no right to opress christians...since when is opressing the majority ok?

I'm flat screwed. I'm a heterosexual, right handed, white Christian male. I'm as firmly entrenched in the majority as is statistically possible. Does that make me a minority? :nerd:
