Richard Jewell dead at 44

The security guard accused, and later cleared, of setting off a bomb at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta has passed away at the age of 44 from natural causes (related to diabetes and kidney failure).

I think he had a $500,000 settlement with the newspapers slandering him. If there was other money from other sources... I have no idea. It was more than enough to live on for a guy like him. All he needed was a big pickup and tv and he was set for life. There wasn't much wattage behind those eyes.
