I was a cowgirl yesterday

I went with a friend to work on her ranch with her husband and family. Most of the morning was spent laying fence around a small 8-acre property. Then we moved across the street to their 80-acre property to feed the cattle and trying to teach me to lasso. It was hilarious.

It's only a small ranch, with 30 heads of cattle. My friend and her boyfriend co-own it with her two brothers, cousin & wives, so in all, I think only 8 people run and maintain the property.

During lunch, we had country music blasting and I surprised myself when I started singing along with the likes of Tracy Byrd & Kevin Fowler. I didn't realize I knew the words to that many country songs

nope, i sucked. the kids got pretty good at lasso-ing that wooden horse though.
