RIYADH, Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabia's ruler, King Fahd, died early Monday in a Riyadh hospital and his brother, Crown Prince Abdullah, has been announced the country's new monarch, the Saudi royal court announced in a statement.
Abdullah has been the defacto ruler for years, so I don't see this as changing anything, but I note that he named his 77 year old half brother as successor. Can you say "reform?" Evidently they can't.
