Hm, very interesting....

So many of those (D) when voting Yes were actually voting No to having their politcal careers cut short. lol. Interesting how they change their minds so quickly when their jobs are on the line. Funny thing is, i'd probably have more respect for them under this circumstance if they had actually voted their conscience.

Boxer, Chaffee, Jaffords, Jeffords, Leahy, Byrd & Feingold are confirmed communists. No surprise.

I think we should conquer Luxemburgh for practice while we're waiting. I heard their Navy sux....

GREAT! House voted in favor too.

So that means Bush has the approval of Congress.

...and being communist (whatever grain of truth that might have) has what exactly to do with going to war?

In france and other countries they call them democratic socialists. There's so much more in common between Europes Democratic socialist movement and Americas Liberal movement than Americas Democrats would ever have you believe. It's not just extremist jargon and there's a reason they call themselves Socialists in europe.

Gaunt-it has to do with voting no. The American Communist Party can't have an imperialistic war-monger like George W Bush thinking he can have autonomy to back up the treaties and/or dictates of the UN or even, god forbid-gasp-the United States. After 11 years of saddams antics & ignoring the surrender, which he did sign,, they think we're the enemy.

It's not like he's invaided Kuwait or anything though. He's just sitting there and he "might" do something. To me it sounds more like we are protecting our oil interests than trying to do the right thing.

Oil has very little to do with this. Do you even know how much oil we buy from over there? Something like less than 10% of oil that we buy from everywhere else.

Things can change with the war, i'm sure that's what Gaunt meant.
