About the second story:

If the child had just been "grazed" by the bullet and there was very little bleeding, you would still think that a mother SHOULD have the common sense to take her child to the hospital anyway. Even light bleeding from a gunshot should be concern for a parent. But then again, who is to say who can and cannot be a parent.

Prime Suspect:"They deserved it..."

The guy was murdered, stuffed into a freezer, and mailed cross-country. What could possibly justify that?
 
I hope you will not have my head for this Gato but what if he molested the kids or raped the wife? would you still call it a lame excuse? his wording could have been better but I do agree to an extent of what if he did something that atrocious?

Yes I would. There are almost always other options, and the fact that she covered it up for so long means to me that nothing else was going on. Someone like that get's killed in the heat of the moment, and get's fron't page news. Sorry...but I don't see any 'extenuating circumstances' in this one. Even if she had proof of such heinous things, she should've called the police first. She clearly thought over what she was going to do, and did it...
 
I didnt say that there were. More of a what if scenario if you will. now I disagree about them not justifying what she did(if they were true. I think the paper here siad she was abused but even in that case then she could have divorced).

'he needed killing' used to be a vaild excuse for murder. It disappeared in the early 80s but used to be a catch all for murdering a 'black bart' pure evil type that we all know from various movies and the old west. Hiding the body might have been out of sheer fear of prosecution. If you can get away with it... hey... might as well only get caught when one is decrepit and old and a few years in jail amounts to 3 hots and a cot on the government dole.
