In case you've never seen true spousal abuse, have a look...

SAN ANTONIO, April 4 (UPI) -- A San Antonio man who allegedly padlocked his wife to a 30-foot dog chain in the backyard was in jail himself Friday.

One end of the chain was padlocked to 45-year-old Patricia Thomason's neck, and the other end was attached to a car where her husband Jerry Thomason, 41, was sleeping when police arrested him Thursday at their home.

Firefighters used bolt cutters to remove the chain that was wrapped around the woman's neck and padlocked. She was treated and released later at a hospital. Police are not sure how long she had been chained up.

Neighbors said the bizarre situation began when the woman told her husband she wanted to leave him.

"He also had her in a cage, chained up in a cage, because he didn't want her to leave" neighbor Yolanda Esquivel told WOAI radio.

Another neighbor who asked that his name not be used said Thomason had "said before he'd keep her in a cage if he had to."

A neighbor had alerted police early Thursday that Patricia Thomason had a chain around her neck when the couple dropped off their two sons, ages 11 and 14, at a school. The arrest came later in the day at the couple's home.

Thomason's children were staying with their maternal grandmother, police said.

Jerry Thomason was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault with bodily injury, and unlawful restraint. His bond was set at $35,000.

Police said the couple had been married for 15 years.

He could at least have tied her up somewhere useful like the kitchen or bedroom.

I've seen and witnessed spousal abuse; my soon-to-be-ex stepdad was a real bastard to my mum; I'll go into it another time...

Then when I went home the other week, my mum had found him cheating with a workmate. My mum hit him, and he wentr to hit her back. However, I felt more than justified in holding a revolver to his head before he even THOUGHT about making another move towards her. :headbang:

Mmm-mm! Divorce is a certainty now, and there's not a thing he can do. I've got more than enough evidence that could put him away for a decent stretch :D

God, I feel fantastic!

I knew there was something I liked about you.:beerdrnk:

You know, if she had all that length of chain available, why in the hell didn't she gather a bit of it up and plant it in the fuckers skull?

wow Jon, it'll be a cold day in hell before i make another crack at you mate!

Well, I'm proud to say that I'm a placid guy at the best of times, and attempt to keep cool while I'm stressed, but we'd been living with this guy for 12 years, and the amount of shit me, my mum, and my brother have all had to put up with made me flip. I tried to get on with him, but all my attempts had failed.

Good job it wasn't loaded, or I'd have been for it :D

PS: Gonz, sorry for crappin on ya thread man ;)

what a sick fuck he is i hope she cleans his ass out and leaves him homeless. that is so fucking humiliating for her. i feel so sorry for her she had to go through that.
