Is the point of this stupid game just to drive it's player nutz? Cheating, not cheating, prebuilding, waiting to build, low taxes, high taxes, it doesn't matter. There is no way to have your city actually come out in the black or even. Stupid friggin game.

I can do it without cheating say yes to the jail, the waste dump, and the casino, make parking fines and legalize gambling, say yes when they ask for most of the crap... it's doable

Has anyone played Settlers? I used to be completely hooked on that stupid thing a few years ago. Just liked watching my disproportionately large army go charging across the earth to demolish the enemy with swords and divine intervention.

Gonz, I usually start with a tiny industrial area, maybe 4x12, sometimes 2 of them, a railway station and a road both connected to the next town. Hydro (the cheap one, can upgrade later) and water are needed. They'll start building slowly, then I take the road down the map aways toward water, make a small residential with a school,

if you build it they will come

hell, with 250,000 residents & a land, literally, full of commercial & industrial structures, I should have had more than enough tax money,,,but nooooooooooooooooo
