They mention it because: "The mother took the children to work with her Monday and left them in the car all day," Might be possible cause or partial cause of death.

BTW the temp was relevant because they think the kids were left in the car for approx. 15hrs, even while she was enjoying herself dining out, then stuffed under the sink.
