So THAT'S what that was...

Southern Discomfort
Last night, I was jolted awake a little after 11. Figured it was my imagination.

Wrong.

The local fish wrapper

Translation: about 15 miles from here.

Small by Cali standards, but then again, when did I ever give a rat's ass about Cali to start with?

Small by all standards. A 3.8 isn't even noticeable. About 4.5 or higher to make the ground rattle.

Is the mountain still standing?

Oh, it was noticable all right. Rattled windows, felt like the house was moving.

OK, so good sex can do the same thing. But ya see, I was alone...

I dunno...it wasn't necessarily the quake, I've achieved some reasonable facsimiles alone :eyemouth:

SnP...You're that close to SC? Most people don't realize it, but the last real earthquake the are had was in 1886 here in Charleston. Some of the older buildings still have iron rods through them to hold the walls up. This site has a few links to pictures of the disaster.

Last big earthquake felt in this area: 6.0, Parkfield, 9/28/04 (woke me right up... on my day off too)
Last big earthquake to do major-league damage: 6.5, between Paso Robles and San Simeon, 12/23/03

I wouldn't say I'm due yet.
