so who went shopping today

I was in the car for 9 hours driving back up from my dads house. I (thank god) missed out on the black friday shopping psychotics.

Big sales on the Friday after their thanksgiving. Not for the same reasons but the same results as our boxing day pretty much.

Sadly, I understand what Christmas has to do with mad shopping, but what the hell does thanksgiving have to do with shopping?

Thanksgiving is the last major holiday before the traditional gift-giving holidays at the end of the year. The day after Thanksgiving is the traditional start of the holiday shopping season.
